Fusion Wedding

The Couple: Miranda and Robert
The Date: 18th June 2011

When a couple from two different cultures decide to marry it is important that the wedding ceremony represent and reflect both cultures. When Miranda from Mauritius and Robert from Scotland held their wedding at the Royal College of Surgeons it was clear to see both cultures playing their part...

Consultations with the chef resulted in a fantastic bespoke fusion menu; for starters a mix of the traditional safood Mauritian rougaille and Scottish salmon and for dessert the must-have Scottish cranachan!

The Mauritian-Scottish theme didn't end there... Tables were named after significant towns such as Skye, Aberdeen, Quatre Bornes and Charmarel and the bride and groom marched into the room serenaded by Scottish bagpipes and a crescendo of Mauritian style drummers.

So when planning your wedding, remember anything is possible.
