Dominating the first floor is the magnificent Florence Hall, the largest and most richly decorated room in the building.

Vast floor-to-ceiling windows, etched glass doors, patterned marble and wood floors and carved stone window splays set a grand and elegant scene for standing receptions, seated dinners, weddings, conferences and Christmas parties.

All of the furniture has been designed by Conran & Partners, and the room is equipped with fully-integrated audio-visual technologies. The windows flood the room with daylight and also open out onto a roof terrace  – a beautiful additional space for drinks and receptions, either in the open air or under a marquee.

The Martin Room is similar to the Alexander Harvey Room, featuring high windows and the option of functioning either as a boardroom for 16 or as a presentation room for 25, seated theatre style.

Magnetic paint on the walls allows notes and papers from the meeting to be put easily displayed around the room and repositioned as required.

The Aston Webb Room is on the second floor, accessed via a mezzanine around the upper parts of the Florence Hall and the well of the main stairs.

With walls lined with leather and joinery in Indian laurel wood, the Aston Webb Room has a stately, mid-twentieth century boardroom atmosphere. Large windows offer plenty of natural lighting as well as views down Portland Place to the Langham Hilton and up towards Regents Park.

It is an ideal venue for committee or boardroom-style meetings for up to 22 delegates or private dining for up to 20. It also benefits from air conditioning.

The Jarvis Suite is the RIBA's venue for large conferences. It comprises the Jarvis Memorial Hall, Foyer and Office, all located on the lower ground floor.

The Jarvis Hall is a fully-equipped, naturally-lit lecture theatre with a stage, twin lecterns and tiered seating for 300 delegates. With floor-to-ceiling wooden panelling concealing recently installed, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, the room creates an inspirational but comfortable conference atmosphere. Next door, the Foyer can accommodate refreshments for up to 220 delegates. Other rooms in the building can also be hired as syndicate rooms.

The RIBA Gallery is a striking, contemporary space in the heart of the art deco inspired 66 Portland Place. Full length windows and simple décor make this bright room a perfect blank canvas for events. Perfectly suited for a variety of events from fashion shows to fine dining; wine tastings to weddings.

Hiring both the RIBA Gallery and adjacent First Floor Landing| provides an elegant space for evening dinner and drinks for up to 110 people. Alternatively combining all three spaces on the First Floor allows up to 250 guests to enjoy drinks in the Gallery and Landing followed by dinner in the Florence Hall|.

During the day this room can be used as a theatre style room for up to 126 or a cabaret style for 77 delegates. Alternatively the RIBA Gallery provides the ideal area a standing lunch for up to 120 delegates.

The RIBA Gallery is used for exhibitions at certain times of the year so please contact us for availability.

Adjacent to the Florence Hall is our beautiful Florence Hall Terrace, where guests can soak up the late evening summer sun.  It provides a perfect venue for entertaining clients and colleagues a like at evening drinks receptions with beautiful canapes and refreshing summer drinks provided by our in-house caterers Ampersand.
